Technologies for the Future

Foetal Monitoring

The demand for remote monitoring solutions has been sharply rising, whether it be for long-term monitoring of a chronic condition, rehabilitation monitoring or for regular periodic use in sports or industrial work. KYMIRA’s Biomedical Monitoring garments enable remote and continuous monitoring from basic heart rate, through to full medical vital sign monitoring. Full vital sign monitoring includes 1-12 lead ECG, blood pressure, respiration rate, oxygen saturation and basic movement data. By combining these data sets, we are able to contextualise the data and draw more insight.

Technology Mission
Our ultimate goal is to develop a predictive diagnostic device that will be able to diagnose an acute cardiac event (such as a heart attack) 48 hours before it occurs. Allowing the wearer to seek medical help to prevent or manage the condition and offering them a much greater chance of survival or a reduction in severity of the episode. Iterative releases will also be made available for non-regulated markets; such as sports, and real-time monitoring and diagnostics in regulated markets such as medical applications.

Biomechanics Monitoring

Whether you are from a sports team, work in medicine, or you work in gaming, film, or television – KYMIRA’s biomechanical assessment garments will give you the accuracy of world leading motion capture, without the constraints of being in a fixed environment, lab or set. Built with KYMIRA’s proprietary motion tracking constellations, and optional EMG sensors, accessing world class technology is now as simple as getting dressed, and can be done anywhere – the possibilities are endless.

Technology Mission
While developing our smart garments, it became apparent that not only could our technology have a huge impact for remote biomedical monitoring, but we could use our production techniques to also produce sensor arrays that collect movement data. At first this was to enable medical researchers to capture more real-world data, then with the COVID-19 pandemic, demand grew to remote rehabilitation monitoring, and sporting applications such as form assessment injury screening.
